I wrenched my back, or more specifically, my hip, on my left side. Abby was crying and upset and I carried her from the bedroom to the living room and the last two steps something ‘gave’ in my lower back. I now have a severe list to starboard when I walk.

Sigh.

That’s Abaigeal’s lovely Bear-Bear modeling the blueberry pie soaker and matching hat. I hope the intended wearer of those items is less furry, although with the father in question that’s kind of a coin toss…

Speaking of the intended wearer, I only have nine days left. Nine, Mrs. Bueller. I think we’re ready, so bring it, baby!

Bede fell asleep on the living room floor about 3 hours ago. He is in that baby tummy sleep position where the knees are tucked under the belly and the arms are crossed under the chest, head turned to the side… ah he is so breathtaking, he looks angelic.

I’m trying to soak up his smallness because I know he will not seem such the baby in just a few days. The curve of his head under my chin when I hold him, the way his neck fits into the crook of my arm and his eyes lock onto mine when he nurses. He reaches up and touches my face sometimes and looks amazed.

I love you beautiful boy, my son. Sweet dreams.
