Just a quick non-update, really. Sean’s still waiting to hear back from the folks he interviewed with this week. I asked him why he hasn’t blogged and he said he’s on hiatus. Sean, come blog!

So, what to do with my hair? I want to cut it but I also like the idea of dreadlocks. Mom don’t freak out too much, OK, I mean like I had in high school, the long wavy locks. No Bob Marley, K?

Side Note for my younger readers: you will be chagrined to know that if you have a good relationship with your parents when you are 14 you will still be concerned about what they will think of your hair when you are 30. I had my tattoo (not a small tattoo either!) for 10 years before I let my dad see it.

So anyway. Ahem.

Or, I could cut it in a chin length bob and donate the hair to Locks of Love. I’ve done that twice. It gets real curly when it’s short.

Thoughts? It’s right now in a loose bun at the nape of my neck and I never ever do anything else with it. Ever.

This evening I’ll be watching the third segment of The Elegant Universe on Nova. The first two were a short history of particle physics and a bit on general relativity, and then a tease about string theory. Tonight I think they’ll be talking about the seeming contradictions inherent in string theory and also the inability to prove or disprove its truth. I think it’s fascinating stuff and just in case it’s your cup of tea as well, there you go.

Faith liked it last week, she thought the idea of tiny strings bouncing around in her was pretty cool. She has only the loosest concept of our internal structure irt bones and muscles and the like, so I’m not too sure what she’s taking away from string theory and quantum physics discussions, but hey, it’s edumacational!

It’s on from 7-8PM here.

Then, Frontline: The Alternative Fix is on. Since I’m the crunchy sort of wingnut I spect I’ll try to watch that too. Frontline frequently has me rolling my eyes and smarting off at the television but I do enjoy it, usually.

So that’s my evening, in a nutshell. I’ve left out the nursings/diaper changes/SPAM®bled eggs n’ toast fixing/sibling mediation/possible knitting, but you get the general idea.

Sean is beating the pavement today, I spect that’s why yall haven’t seen much of him. He’s got a few resumes to get dropped off and some applications to fill out, some in graphic design, some not. I hope something comes through because, just between you and me folks, it’s a mite tight.

Anyways keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Not that you don’t already. Ahem.

… is not what you want to hear when the dog has not been walked for a few hours and you know he tends to outdoor constipation in the extreme cold and the child who said it has just been in the corner of a quiet unused room.

Eww.
