Sean and the girls went to the grocery store, and both boys are asleep.
I have no idea what to do with myself!

Knitting for grown-ups takes a lot longer than knitting for kids.
At this rate Sean can expect his cardigan sometime late next summer.
Been awhile since we put up a picture page. Here are Abby and Faith holding hands.
The kids’ play room in our house has paintings of grass, trees, and animals on the walls. And lots and lots of chalk scribblings on the paint. Welcome to… the Jungle Room!
As a ferocious closet lion stalks the veldt, Faith, Gilbert, and Abby laugh at danger.
Bede mans the ramparts.
Suddenly, three kids from the planet Noseelg teleport into the room. (Their blue mother stays just long enough to fall in love with Captain Kirk.)
The Holiday Grand Plan starts this week, I am told. I may attempt, if I think I can not do it perfectly, and with no money, and not be depressed by my failure. Huh. Well at anyrate they tell you to start by deep cleaning the front porch, which is a task that certainly needs doing around here so perhaps I can at least do that.

Go read what Sean wrote about a local news segment on homeschooling. Go on, it’s very good. What Sean wrote, I mean. The news segment, not so much.
Echoing the post I just made over at the homeschool blog, I thought I’d let you know that there is a LiveJournal feed for this blog if you’d like me to show up on your friends page.
I’m fourteen weeks now. I have not definitively felt the baby move - I usually don’t for a few more weeks. I had more nausea (but no action on it, just a vague sense of bleh) this time, and much more depression. I am mostly over both, I am happy to report! I think the depression was hormone soup on top of situational stresses and the vicissitudes of life here lately. Anyway, I’m feeling much better in the tummy and brain regions. Although I did have a migraine headache the other day, my second in my life. I had visual field interruptions, nausea and headsplitting pain, with some sparkly auras around objects on the edges of my vision the next day. So this is a very brainy pregnancy so far. Maybe this kid is psychic or somethin.
I have some other typical pregnancy markers: I have mild heartburn, a constant dull backache I really only notice when I lie down and it abates a bit, and deep fatigue. I tend to fall asleep whenever I sit down, pretty much! Of course, most of those things happen to me all the time even when I’m not pregnant so there you go.
It’s nice and uneventful, just like pregnancy should be! If I forget to update on this topic just assume no news is good news and the ‘Speck’ is cooking away and unfolding as it should.

I’m starting my Holiday Knitting. Not that that means I’ll be done with it on time. But I have the illusion.
Since pretty much everyone I’ll be knitting for reads this blog (but the converse is not true - don’t get your hopes up) I won’t be sharing much of what it is that I’m knitting. But know that behind the scenes my little fingers are clicketyclicketing away.
